Geography


France's exact coordinates are 46 degrees North and 2 degrees West.


France is located in Europe. Europe is a fairly small continent with many countries in it. France is one of the most popular countries.


There are twenty-six regions in France. Twenty-two of which are inland and, and four are overseas.

Physical Features: France has two coast lines, the Mediterranean and the Atlantic

The French Alps are located by Italy and the Mediterranean.

The hills and vallies of France are mostly located neat its center.



History

France, at its best days, is the center of attraction and one of the most advanced countries. In 1885, Louis Pasteur, a French scientist invented a vaccine that cures rabies, a deadly disease until his discovery.

France's history dates back 40,000 years ago. The first homo-sapiens (Cro-Magnon Man), or humans inhabited France. Then as France grew, it became more advanced that other countries of its time. In 1889, the Eiffel Tower was built. The Eiffel Tower symbolizes France, and is one of the most highest and advanced structures of its time.

  • The Eiffel tower is over 1000 feet high, containing 2 restaurants, a souvenir shop, a post office, a snack bar, and a viewing area.

  • Homo Sapiens are the first "modern" humans, another reason why France is ahead of its time.

  • Normandy gained its name from Vikings and the Duke of Normandy.

Culture


France's system of beliefs is to be better and more elegant. They desire to be the best at the things they do. For example, during the Boroque Era in France, French people dressed up overly fancy. They wore too much beads, head bands, jewelry, necklaces, etc.


The Religion:


France's majority religion is Christianity, the belief in Jesus Christ. Most of them are split in to two groups, Catholics and Protistants. Most of the population are Christians. They belive in God, go to the Church and celebrate holy days.


Government

The type of government France has is Republic. Republic is a type of government that allows Citizens to have supreme power over voting. France has five types of Republic. the First Republic, the Second Republic, the Third Republic, the Fourth Republic, and the Fifth Republic.
